July 2019

July 1

Right, so July also flew by as I tried to finish my graduating paper and bring my MEd to a close. One of the things that helped me was the Wayback Machine

I had finished my lit review, with my references providing links to several links on the BC Teacher regulation branch website. Unfortunately, shortly after I had finished the website was “refreshed” [entirely redesigned!] so all of my links were broken.

It’s frustrating, to say the least, how this can happen without re-directs being provided so people can find the old versions of the pages. In this case, I was able to find most of the new links and change these in my references. Unfortunately, some pages were just deleted so I used the Wayback Machine to find a cached version of those pages.

July 31

I’ll leave it at that for July. To finish, a couple of quotes from the month.

  • “A man’s character may be learned from the adjectives which he habitually uses in conversation.” ― Mark Twain
  • “The ability to quote is a serviceable substitute for wit.” – Somerset Maugham
